Honey CSA – New for 2010

Little Red Truck Farm – Community Supported Apiculture

This year I have been encouraged to start a honey CSA.  so I thought it would be interesting to set aside some of my apiary for a CSA program.  Shareholders will purchase shares in the CSA and be able to follow the hives progress on a blog and of course share in the honey produced  from the hives.

There will also be opportunities for hands on learning about bees and honey harvesting.

Because honeybees can forage up to 2 or 3 miles in search of nectar , it’s possible the bees will be visiting share holders gardens and neighborhoods .

About Me

I am JoanTeebagy, a retired software engineer turned micro farmer. I raise chickens, vegetables, fruits and flowers and I also keep bees. I grow for my family, and for a small number of customers who enjoy food produced very close to where they live, grown sustainably and with care.
